Terms Shown to Guests
Overview
Choose what your facility calls "check-in", "check-out", "reservation", "member" and "membership plan" on guest screens. A study room might say "entry" and "exit"; a gym might say "user" and "monthly plan".
The words you choose apply to every guest screen (check-in, booking, membership, lockers and the Go portal) and to the emails and LINE messages guests receive, in both Japanese and English. The admin console and owner emails do not change.
This feature is enabled per facility. If the "Terms" tab does not appear in Settings, the
ui_settings_guest_termsfeature flag is off for your facility. Ask support to enable it.
Where to find it
Settings → "Terms" tab.
You edit the language your admin console is set to. In the Japanese console you edit the Japanese words; in the English console you edit the English words. Saving never changes the other language.
Features
- Five words: check-in, check-out, reservation, member and membership plan
- "Member" is the person and "membership plan" is the product. You set them separately
- Leave a word blank to keep the current wording
- In English, enter each form of a word (for example noun "Entry", verb "enter", past "entered"). You cannot fill in only some forms
- Override the Go portal button labels (for example "Member login"). Where the button goes does not change
- Show or hide the three highlights at the top of the membership page
- A live preview of guest screens and an email subject with your words
How to use it
- Open the "Terms" tab
- Enter the words you want to change. Leave the rest blank
- Check the preview on the right
- Select "Save terms"
"Reset to default" clears the fields for the language shown (nothing changes until you save).
Notes
- Words inside facility names, plan names and guest names are never rewritten
< > { } $ & " \are not allowed- Limits: 20 characters (Japanese), 30 characters (English), 30 characters (buttons)
- LINE buttons show at most 20 characters. A button that would exceed that keeps its current wording
- "Access Anytime" is shown only for a facility open 24 hours whose membership plans do not restrict hours. Other facilities show their opening hours instead
- "Easy Booking" is shown only when the facility takes reservations
