Integrations

Connect what you already use. Replace nothing.

You do not have to change how you take bookings, or which locks you own. Keep your booking sites, your calendars and your existing hardware, and let UnlockOS run the operation on top.

Sound familiar?

  • Adopting anything new looks like rebuilding your whole booking process
  • Every system seems to come with its own brand of lock you have to buy
  • Bookings arrive on several sites and each one has to be checked separately
  • The booking list and the key are separate, so details get retyped
  • Calendar entries and actual door access have nothing to do with each other

With UnlockOS

  • Keep your booking sites and hand over only check-in and keys
  • No need to switch lock vendors — start with the doors you already have
  • Imported bookings sit alongside your own in one list
  • A new booking prepares the key without anyone touching it
  • A calendar entry can hand over a working key

Booking systems and channel managers

Connect Neppan, Beds24, RoomBoss, Cloudbeds or Mews and the bookings gathered there flow into UnlockOS. Neppan in particular consolidates Rakuten Travel, Jalan and Ikyu, so one connection covers all of them.

  • Cloudbeds and Mews suit properties with international guests; RoomBoss covers resort operators such as those in Niseko
  • Issued codes can be written back to the booking system
  • Ask different check-in questions depending on the source

Two ways to hand over the key

Once a booking system is connected, you decide how the guest receives the key: the usual way, as a code returned to the booking system, or through the UnlockOS check-in screen.

  • The usual way — the code goes back to the booking system and rides along in the confirmation email you already send. Same flow as any other integration, so nothing about your operation changes
  • UnlockOS check-in — the guest completes check-in on their own screen and receives the key at the end. The register is filled in first, and the rotating QR, automatic extension handling and session recovery all apply
  • Either way, booking import and availability sync work the same

Google Calendar

Pull in calendar entries and hand out a key valid for exactly that slot. UnlockOS bookings can be written back to the calendar too.

  • Widely used for meeting rooms and studios
  • Works in both directions

Airbnb and other calendars

Connect a booking site's calendar and dates and availability stay in sync. Airbnb calendars do not include guest names, so the guest is identified at check-in instead.

  • Prevents double bookings
  • Guests pick out their own booking on arrival

Vendor-neutral by design

UnlockOS is not one manufacturer's product. Issue a key, change it, revoke it, open the door — those are expressed once, through a lock adapter, and KEYVOX is simply one of the locks sitting on it. Change the hardware and the way you operate stays the same.

  • KEYVOX is built in and works with no setup
  • Locks from other manufacturers connect through the same adapter where an API exists
  • So does your own hardware, or the access control system already on the door
  • Doors, lockers and gates are all supported

More connections on the way

Rolling out progressively

  • Smart locks: partnerships with further manufacturers, including outside Japan
  • Further booking systems, prioritised by what customers ask for

Common questions

What does connecting Neppan give me?

Bookings collected in Neppan flow into UnlockOS, through check-in and key issuing. If Rakuten Travel, Jalan and Ikyu already funnel through Neppan for you, a single connection covers all of them.

Do Airbnb booking details come through automatically?

Dates and availability sync automatically, but Airbnb calendars do not include guest names or reference numbers. Which guest belongs to which booking is confirmed at check-in.

Can I use Beds24, RoomBoss, Cloudbeds or Mews?

Yes, all of them connect, alongside Neppan — covering everything from Japanese domestic channels to properties with mostly international guests. If you use a booking system that is not listed, get in touch.

Does connecting a booking system change how guests receive the key?

That is your choice. The code can go back to the booking system and ride along in the confirmation email you already send, or you can point guests at the UnlockOS check-in screen. The second option gets the guest register filled in first, and brings the rotating QR, automatic extension handling and session recovery with it.

Can I keep my current booking system?

Yes. Most sites start exactly that way, keeping bookings where they are and moving only check-in and keys.

Will it work with other manufacturers' locks?

Yes. UnlockOS is deliberately not tied to one manufacturer. KEYVOX is built in and works immediately, and locks from other makers connect through the same lock adapter wherever an API exists. Tell us what you have and we will tell you where it stands.

Can we connect our own hardware ourselves?

Yes. The lock adapter needs one endpoint that speaks an agreed shape, and a declaration of which operations it supports — issue a key, revoke it, open the door. UnlockOS uses whatever that endpoint says it can do. Custom gates and existing access control systems connect this way too.
