What is UnlockOS?
UnlockOS is a membership management and booking system built directly on smart locks. Subscriptions, ticket books, bookings and walk-ins run on the same plans and the same inventory, and keys are issued automatically to guests who qualify. LINE and Google Calendar integrations are included. It connects to an existing PMS or booking system if you have one, and runs on its own without one.
How long does setup take?
Basic setup takes under 10 minutes. Create an account, configure your pricing plan, connect your smart lock, and share your payment link. No coding required for standard setups.
What smart locks are supported?
UnlockOS is deliberately not tied to one manufacturer. Issue a key, revoke it, open the door — those are expressed once through a lock adapter, and KEYVOX is simply one of the locks sitting on it, built in from the start. Any smart lock with an API can connect through the same adapter, and you can wire up your own gates or existing access control yourself. Partnerships with further manufacturers, including outside Japan, are in progress.
How does billing work?
UnlockOS charges $0 setup fee, $0 monthly fee, and $0.17 per check-in. You only pay when guests actually use your space. No minimum commitments or hidden costs.
Is there an API?
Yes. UnlockOS provides a full REST API, real-time webhooks for all events, and a JavaScript SDK. You can build custom integrations, automate workflows, or create your own check-in UI.
What payment methods are supported?
We use Stripe for payment processing, supporting credit cards, debit cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. Stripe handles PCI compliance so you don't have to.
Where is data stored?
All data is stored on cloud infrastructure with encryption at rest and in transit. We follow industry-standard security practices including regular audits and access controls.
