Say it when it matters, where it will actually be read.
A notification is just two choices: when to send it, and where to send it. The day-before welcome note and the ten-minutes-to-go announcement are built the same way.
Sound familiar?
- Someone sends the arrival instructions by hand, every time
- The email goes unread and the same question arrives on the day
- Guests overstay and nobody catches it in time
- Email is the only channel you have
With UnlockOS
- Set it once and every matching booking gets it automatically
- LINE gets read far more reliably than email
- Escalate to a phone call when a guest does not respond
- Make a spoken announcement through a speaker in the room
For guests and for staff.
Day-before notes and end-of-stay reminders go to guests; check-in and checkout alerts go to your staff.
- Guests receive

From the end-of-stay reminder to the thank-you and receipt, automatically.
- Staff receive

Every check-in and checkout, as it happens.
- Choose when and where

Pick a moment, such as five minutes before the booking ends, and where it goes.
Screens are shown in Japanese.
Choose when
Anchor to the start, the end, the actual check-in or the actual check-out, then say how many minutes before or after.
- The day before, an hour before and ten minutes after all work the same way
- Narrow it to particular bookings if you want
Choose where
LINE, email, SMS, a phone call, an in-room speaker or an app notification. Pick one, or let UnlockOS choose whichever is most likely to reach that guest.
- One setting covers guests who each prefer a different channel
- Japanese and English
Spoken announcements in the room
With a KEYVOX speaker you can play a spoken message into a room or a shared area, instead of sending someone to knock.
- Used for departure reminders and house rules
- Type the words and they become speech
A record of what was sent
Who was told what, when and by which route is all recorded, so 'we never sent it' and 'it never arrived' can both be checked.
- Failures are recorded too
- The same message is never sent twice
Common questions
What do I need to use LINE?
Connect your own LINE official account. Once a guest adds you and opens any screen from the menu, keys and notifications go to their LINE from then on. See the LINE page for details.
Is there a limit on how many I can send?
There is no cap. Usage-based charges may apply, so please ask us about your volumes.
What is a phone notification?
An automated spoken call. It works well as a last resort for guests who have not responded to email or LINE.
Do in-room speakers need to be bought separately?
Yes, a KEYVOX speaker is required. Get in touch if you would like to know more.
